Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Of all the plants I’ve bought because I liked their names, this peony is the most gallant success.

Season after season, the peony Henry Wadsworth Longfellow gives a vibrant performance.

This morning also found the first lovely, if not particularly literary, magnolia bloom. More to follow, at least if the deer keep their distance.

On the deck, the latest pottery addition is somewhere between ridiculous and resplendent.

Indoors, Ollie seems inclined to attend to plants, too. Particularly in the form of catnip-stuffed toys.
