A Long Story

For a long time, spring has looked like this:


Sort of like Kansas in The Wizard of Oz.. It was a bit thrilling to get in my car and head south again. First, the skies turned blue by the time I stopped at my favorite park.


This is where I ate lunch that day:


Also, there were swans.


When I finally got to see my own garden again, it was blooming brilliantly …



I didn’t worry too much when the surroundings seemed strangely monochromatic again …


Though waking to snow on the magnolia the next morning was disconcerting …


By afternoon, it turned out that the blooms were all right.
